JUSTICE FOR MAHSA AMINI.
JUSTICE FOR MAHSA AMINI.
Please share this knowledge around.
I’ve always tried to use my platform for good and use my voice to not only give my readers a good book but one that reflects the cruel reality of our time and age. Today, I ask you to listen to this. Mahsa Amini was a 22-year-old Iranian woman who went back to Iran to visit. There, she wore her hijab out in public and respected the Iranian law even tho she disagreed with it. However, the moral police didn’t find her hijab to standards and they publicly beat her. After beating her publicly, they transported her and she died from that beating. However, the police stated she died from a heart attack despite never having heart issues nor having a family history of it. The Iran media stated she died “in police custody when she was arrested for “re-education” and “guidance” on proper Islamic attire.” And since then there has been many protests against the government and in these protests many are either getting beaten or killed. I am not Iranian, but I am a woman. This is not just an act against freedom, this is a direct attack against women and I’m tired of it. Mahsa was one of us, she was our sister and she was killed because of that. You don’t have to cut your hair, you don’t have to take to the streets to protest, there is no right way to mourn for our fallen sisters, all I ask is you share this. Speak out for those who cannot. We stand together and we won’t stop fighting until every single one of our sisters are safe.
